Jennifer Aniston Reveals New Haircut – And It’s Everything!

Jennifer Aniston is no stranger when it comes to hair trends – take the Rachel haircut, for example, THE look of the 90s. So, can Jen’s new haircut take salons by storm in 2025?

Her long-term hairstylist, Chris McMillan, revealed the new look and called it ‘The Everything Haircut.’ So, we asked a selection of hairdressers their thoughts on Jen’s new look…

Harry Andreou, TONI&GUY Winchester: “Chris McMillan’s ‘Everything Cut’ just makes sense. It’s lived in and effortless. Not too long, not too short, just nicely layered that doesn’t need to be overly styled. I think this is going to take off and we’re already seeing clients wearing their hair this way, because it works on so many people. You can blow it out or leave it to dry naturally and it still looks sexy and cool. It’s giving modern Rachel, but less try hard. If you’re cutting it, keep it soft around the face, longer towards the back and make sure the layers blend well. It’s best on medium to thick hair and will honestly suit anyone who wants that balance of done but not overdone.”

Michelle Summers Davies, MD Hair Pembrokeshire: “At first, I wasn’t sure what it meant, the name threw me a bit. But once I saw it, it clicked. It’s the same kind of cut she’s always worn – soft layers, movement around the face – just with a fresh name. Calling it the Everything Cut makes it feel more universal, like it could work for anyone, which it actually can. It’s the kind of cut people ask for without even realising it; not too short, not too long, easy to style, and flattering on most. It’s familiar, but still modern, and that makes it wearable, which is what most clients want. I think it’s a more grown-up version of the popular Rachel cut, but less layered and more tailored. The key is to keep the styling soft; loose waves or air-dried with a bit of texture product. Don’t overdo it, it’s meant to feel natural and lived-in, not over styled.”

David Corbett, David Corbett Hairdressing, Bothwell, Glasgow: “It’s great to see a haircut creating a buzz rather than a colour, and this haircut will definitely excite our long-hair clients. It introduces shorter layers to those who have had long hair for a while, which they can gradually embrace and may lead to shorter hairstyles like the lob. Styling wise, the appeal is in its versatility – left to dry on a lazy weekend or blow dried for added volume and shape.”

Elle Foreman, Tribe salons, Clapham Common: “Naming a cut is a great way to excite clients about every day, wearable styles they can relate to. We have had the popular Charlotte cut in the salon, and the Everything Cut is an easy-to-wear hairstyle that our long-haired clients have been asking for – effortless, wearable, and an introduction to shorter layers without losing their length. Jennifer Aniston has been a style icon for decades and continues to influence hairstyling today, so this is a style we will see clients asking for throughout the summer.”
