The Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards (SHABA) celebrated its landmark 15th anniversary this year, bringing together some of the biggest names in hair, beauty and barbering.

Now established as one of Scotland's most anticipated industry events, SHABA welcomed hundreds of finalists, industry professionals, leading brands and special guests on 20 September 2026 at the Hilton Glasgow - with Hairdresser's Journal as media partner. 
 
Awards were presented across an extensive range of hair, beauty and barbering categories, recognising outstanding salons, individual professionals, creative artists and businesses from across Scotland.
 
Reflecting on the milestone celebration, SHABA Founder and Director Joanne Reid said: "Celebrating 15 years of SHABA surrounded by so many talented, passionate and inspiring people was truly special. When I started SHABA back in 2011, I wanted to create a platform where Scotland's hair, beauty and barbering professionals could come together, celebrate their achievements and receive the recognition they deserve.
"15 years later, seeing hundreds of incredible professionals in one room, with some of the biggest names in our industry travelling to Scotland to celebrate alongside us, makes me incredibly proud of everything we have achieved."
 
Among the evening's standout moments was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Tracey Ann Smith, recognising her outstanding contribution to the hairdressing industry. A hugely respected name in British hairdressing, Tracey has dedicated her career to championing creativity, education and excellence. Marlene Lamont was honoured with the Heart of the Industry Award, a special recognition celebrating her outstanding services to the industry and the positive impact she has made throughout her career.

The award recognises individuals who go above and beyond, not only through their professional achievements but through their dedication to supporting, inspiring and uplifting others within the industry. For many finalists, simply reaching the SHABA stage represented a significant achievement, while the announcement of this year's winners provided some of the evening's most exciting and emotional moments.
SHABA 2026's headline partner was Treatwell, celebrating talented professionals and businesses at the heart of the industry. Hair & Beauty World, MOOD, Remi Cachet, The Fellowship, Go Lumiya, MIA and Saint Sun also supported, with guest goodie bags featuring products from leading professional brands including K18, ELEVEN and OSMO. 
 
Joanne continued: "I want to say a massive congratulations to every single finalist and winner. You are the reason we do what we do, and I hope you all enjoyed celebrating your achievements.
