KMS California created a deconstructed look for the Dion Lee Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

Show: Dion Lee

Stylist: Hair director Sophie Roberts, KMS International Artistic Director Clive Allwright and the team from the Sarah Hodge salon group in Somerset.

The inspiration: A relaxed, deconstructed and elegant look to work in juxtaposition with the tailored, seamless lines of the collection.

The look: A soft, relaxed look swept away from the face. "The hair was very much undone, exuding simple elegance," said Sophie. "Hair was tucked into the back of the clothes and if the clothes were backless, knotted to create effortless grace."

Get the look: Hair was first dampened with a water spray and combed through evenly.

KMS ADDVOLUME Style Foam was mixed through from roots to tips and combed through using a wide tooth comb to encourage the natural texture of the hair.

Hair around the face was lightly pinned to create waves and encourage movement and softness around the face.

KMS FREESHAPE Hot Flex Spray was sprayed evenly over the hair to create a pliable hold before hair was dried using a diffuser on a slow speed and mid-heat setting.

Once the hair was partially dried and the hair began to fluff, an elasticated paper was lightly wrapped around the neck to ensure it remained close to the nape as it continued to be dried.

Once the hair was completely dry, all the pins were removed and soft movement was encouraged using KMS HAIRSTAY Anti Humidity Seal.

Finally for added hold, KMS HAIRSTAY Medium Hold Hairspray was applied lightly just before the models runway exit for stability.

Key products: KMS ADDVOLUME Style Foam, KMS FREESHAPE Hot Flex Spray, KMS HAIRSTAY Anti Humidity Seal, KMS HAIRSTAY Medium Hold Hairspray
