How to enter hj's british hairdressing business awards
Thinking of entering HJ's 2012 British Hairdressing Business Awards? Before you put your entry together be sure to read this essential information.
- To enter, you need to submit a written presentation that clearly answers the criteria for the category you are entering.
- The entry should be clearly presented, visually pleasing but concise and easy for the judging panel to read.
- Most categories request an opening statement of no more than 400 words (although this can vary, so please check category), which will provide a summary of key points which set you apart from your competition.
- In addition to your opening statement you must answer the criteria as set out under each category.
- Attachments to your entry are acceptable.
- Complete and return the Entry Form. A completed entry form must accompany each entry (please place at the front). Emailed entries are not acceptable.
- Mark the envelope clearly with your name and the category you are entering.
Separate written entries must be submitted for each category. Photocopies of the entry form can be used.
The Judging
The judging panel will be made up of key independent figures within the hairdressing industry and a representative from each of the sponsoring companies. A further round of judging will comprise of mystery customers and telephone calls. Salon visits will also be made where appropriate and interviews conducted in some categories.
Finalists
After the judging, each entrant will receive a letter. Finalists will be asked to supply photographs for the audio-visual presentation which will be shown at the Awards ceremony. These should be of good quality and depict the image of you and/or your salon.
