Confirming a dedicated commitment to the catwalks, TIGI styled the hair for 65 models at the London College of Fashion BA Fashion show.
Held at cool London warehouse space, The Studio in Paddington, the high profile graduate show marked the end of three years' hard work for the students and the results were as colourful and creative as ever.
Working with 25 students meant 25 extremely different collections, and with each model changing their outfit at least twice, a hairstyle had to be chosen that would work with each look and last throughout the show.

TIGI's academy creative director Maria Kovacs said: "First we consulted with teachers at LCF because because with so many students and 65 models we needed to decide on a house style."

"We were inspired by hair trends from the Autumn/Winter 2011 shows and decided on a sleek ponytail with a smooth crown and no parting. I wanted to give the hair on the crown a vinyl-like finish so we used Catwalk by TIGI Curlesque Serum which we painted onto the hair."
"We tied the 'tail' and then straightened the hair with TIGI Pro Straighteners. A small strand was then wrapped around the tie and pinned into place. The hair was sprayed with Catwalk by TIGI Sleek Mystique Look Lock hairspray to finish."

Men's looks were styled using a similar technique for a slicked back style that combined elements of traditional 1950s grooming with an 80s-feel wet-look finish.

As the show drew to a close, some of the ponytails were personalised to match collections, as Maria explains: "Some of the models were given individual effects such as spray painting to work with the dip- and tie-dyed clothes."
The final colourful collection saw ponytails roughly plaited with multi-coloured extensions for a quirky cool style, with a slightly DIY feel.
