New zealand salon has minimal yet dramatic look
The picturesque coastal city of Invercargill in south west New Zealand has a new attraction. Eight months ago Adrian Barclay opened the doors to his new salon, Venom, with a sleek, minimalist environment designed to evoke the feelings of new world luxury.
The business had outgrown its previous premises and, with 13 staff bursting at the seams, it was time to move. Two derelict stores, just 50m from his current salon, offered Adrian the ideal solution. "I was attracted by the space and location. I could envisage completely refitting the old shops into a modern workspace," Adrian says of the 1,700sq ft space.
