Mfw trend report: '90s texture at costume national aw16

Channelling the grunge era of the 1990s, the AW16 Costume National collection was inspired to portray a confident, strong woman.
With this in mind, James Pecis created a perfectly dishevelled up-do that features loose strands of hair falling gently in the model’s faces to invoke a sense of mystery and playfulness.
GET THE LOOK:
Apply a small amount of Moroccanoil Treatment to prep hair and build a workable foundation for styling.
Create a deep parting from ear to ear to divide the hair, separating the front section from the back.
Apply Moroccanoil Root Boost evenly and abundantly from mid-length to the tips to achieve consistency and the ideal texture creating a slightly wet effect.
Next, soften the top part of the hair by applying a small amount of Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion.
Tie the front part into a ponytail at the centre of the head, twisting and turning the hair before securing it. Leave a few loose locks to fall over the forehead.
Repeat the twisting and turning with the back portion of the hair, forming a second ponytail that is placed high up. Then, twist, set and secure downwards, leaving a few loose locks at the base of the neck.
As a final touch, work the locks, keeping them very flat in the front for a ruffled fringe effect and evenly apply Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to guarantee hold and shine.
