The ghd Midnight Collection is twelve professional looks all inspired by the Autumn/Winter 2010 catwalk shows and created using the new ghd Gold Classic styler.
Here is how you can create a Dita Von Teese-esque front roll using your stylers.

Step One: Take a triangular section from crown to temples. From the crown take two diagonal partings down towards the ears. Clip away the front sections. | Step Two: Starting from the nape, take a 2cm-deep horizontal section, then take a 3cm-wide sub section. Place the styler at the roots with your thumb on top and rotate 180 degrees away from the head whilst elevating the hair at 90 degrees, slowly gliding the styler out from roots to ends. Wrap the curl back towards the head and secure with a clip. Continue to complete the first section. |
 | |
Step Three: Repeat this process working upwards in horizontal sections to complete to the crown. | Step Four: Starting from the left-hand section, take a diagonal section 2cm deep above the ear, then take a 3cm wide sub section. Place the styler at the roots with your thumb on top and rotate 180 degrees away from the head whilst elevating the hair at 90 degrees, slowly gliding the styler out from roots to ends. Wrap the curl back towards the head and secure with a clip. Repeat to complete the first section. |
 | |
Step Five: Continue the process to complete the front right-hand side section. Repeat step four on the front left-hand side. | Step Six: Starting from the crown, take a 2cm-deep horizontal section, then a 3cm-wide sub section. Place the styler at the root with your thumb on top, rotate 180 degrees and push forwards, over directing the hair slowly from the roots to the ends. Wrap the curl back towards the head and secure with a clip. Repeat to complete the first section and then continue this process to complete the preparation. |
 | |
Step Seven: Brush through the hair then take a triangular section at the front to the crown, twist and clip away. Then take a vertical parting from the crown to the nape, separating the back section into two. Clip away the left-hand section. | Step Eight: Starting at the right back panel, take horizontal sub sections about 3cm deep. Back brush each sub section from root to tip. Continue this until you have completed the back right panel. Repeat this process through the back left panel. |
 | |
Step Nine: Working from the left, brush and lift the panel to the crown, smoothing the outer layer with your soft dressing brush to ensure a high gloss finish. Twist the section in and up towards the centre using a tail comb to smooth in any flyaway hairs. Give a final twist and secure at the crown with a pin. | Step Ten: For the right-hand side, repeat step three and secure with a pin. You should now have two inward facing vertical rolls. |
 | |
Step Eleven: Divide the front triangular section into several sub sections leaving a small piece closest to the crown. Brush the first sections then place a synthetic hairpiece at the ends and roll back and under to the front hairline creating a forward horizontal roll. Secure with a pin. Wrap the rest of the front sections around, building the shape. Smooth with a tail comb and secure with a pin. | Step Twelve: Take the small piece of hair left out from the top section closest to the crown and split into two. Create a two-stem rope braid with the piece closest to the crown. Place the rope braid between the two vertical rolls at the back and secure with a pin. Pull the final piece of hair forward and sculpt into loose flat curls for added definition and interest to the top. Secure the ends with a pin. |
