Flip-in hair founder meets the prime minister
Flip-In Hair founder Dayle Adams has enjoyed a prestigious cocktail reception at 10 Downing Street, where she met Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, Business Secretary Peter Mandelson, and Trade and Investment Minister, Mervyn Davies.
Miss Adams was one of a select few businesswomen invited to the reception, at which guests were praised for helping to boost the nation's exports at a time of economic hardship.
The PM said: "I want to thank you for everything you are doing for the British economy, for British exports, and for British confidence.
"All of you here are successful businesses. All of you have made important innovations in the way you do business."
Flip-In Hair was launched at Salon International in 2007 and produces a wide range of high quality hair extensions made of human hair. The company now exports to Europe, India and the Middle East, as well as selling the product throughout the UK.
Miss Adams was light-heatedly quizzed by the Prime Minister about whether her hair extensions could do anything for Mervyn Davies' bald head, but she politely declined to comment.
Reflecting on the reception, Miss Adams says: "It's an amazing honour to be part of this select group; I'm thrilled to have been invited.
"Flip-In Hair is only small right now, but this sort of recognition just reconfirms our belief that our business is on the road to success."
