Stylists shine in headquarters' precious gardens contest

Stylists at Headquarters Salon in Kingston have been getting creative for an in-salon competition based around L'Oréal's Precious Gardens spring/summer 09 Collection. Floral and floaty was the order of the day as nine teams - each consisting of a junior and senior stylist - came up with their interpretations of Precious Gardens. Each pair created a total look, including make-up, clothes and music in the hope of winning prizes including gift vouchers, perfume, aftershave, champagne and, most importantly, salon kudos. After much deliberation the judging panel of Darren Irvine and Tricia Waters from L'Oréal and Julie Allen from Joolspr named Martin Lewis and Leigh Clarke (pictured) the winners. In second place were Chelsey Craig and Emma Gisby, while Katie Allen came third. Victor Pajak, Salon Director of Headquarters said, "With the summer party season here my idea for the evening was to give the team extra confidence with more creative hair work, it was also great for education, motivation and inspiration. "I was so proud, every one of them went into this with great enthusiasm and passion. The results and presentations were just stunning and everyone really enjoyed themselves too, so a real success all round."
