Create beautiful natural waves

According to research from Paul Mitchell, 55% of people have naturally wavy or curly hair. But every head of kinky strands is different - whether it is soft and flowing, tight and coarse or wavy and flyaway.
"Long layers are great with long sweeping fringes for women with soft natural waves. I'd recommend avoiding short layers as this will make the hair look very big and round, and any blunt-cut short fringes will be high maintenance. It depends on how much hair your client has and the type of hair, but generally for big curly sexy hair, long layers are best.
Taking weight out internally will always make curly hair easier to deal with. It's also important to have the right styling products and treatments as these will definitely help create the perfect look.
Moisture is essential for curls as no one wants hair that is dried out and frazzled looking. Regular treatments, moisturising styling products and not too much heat styling will always help."

Best styling technique:
"I would not razor-cut curly hair unless you want it to frizz. Generally avoid short layers and instead opt for soft long layers that are point-cut. Styling-wise you can try setting the hair on big rollers for gorgeous sexy waves, or for beach-inspired hair try twisting one inch square sections around your finger and loosely leaving them to set naturally. When the hair is dry your client can run their finger through their hair and let the waves naturally separate."
