Winners announced at uk la biosthetique beauty stylist awards 2012

Four creative hairdressers have been awarded at the UK La Biosthetique Beauty Stylist Awards 2012.

More than 200 hair professionals from across the country attended the event, which took place at Birmingham's Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Guests were welcomed with a champagne reception, which also featured harlequin-themed models styled by the La Biosthetique CREACTIV youth team.

UK director of sales, Paul Hetherington, then formally started the event by introducing two hair shows - one showcasing models styled by the CREACTIV team, followed by twelve presentation models styled by the La Biosthetique UK Artistic Team, led by creative director, Beverly Bates.

Then it was time for the winners to be announced, selected from 23 entries in the cutting category and 31 in the colour category. Judged by an independent panel of hair trade journalists and industry professionals, the look had to capture the mood of the moment.

Two winners will now go on to represent the UK at the international final, held in Paris in September. 

Paul said: "It was brilliant to see so many of our hairdressers come along to enjoy a fabulous evening and share in the celebrations of the very talented winners. In true hairdresser style, partying went on until very late - or should I say very early - and I think there were a few fuzzy heads in the morning!"
