What's your favourite Salon International memory?
That's a really tough one as every Salon International is such a key event in our year. Last year was a fantastic Salon International for TONI&GUY - I was incredibly proud of the TONI&GUY stand and think that it was certainly the biggest and best to date, coupled with the launch of our Kaizen Collection - a real personal favourite and then Emma Hodgkin's (a member of our Artistic Team) winning the UK final of the Wella Trend Vision - it was a really exciting week end for all of the team.
What do you get out of your Salon International visit?
Salon International is a real highlight of our year and this year's salon will be my 25th! It's been a really family affair over the years and I first started visiting salon when I was 13 years old. It's the event at which showcase new products and merchandise, in fact it's our chance to share everything that's TONI&GUY and essensuals with the hairdressing industry. It's also a chance to catch up with our international teams who fly over to join us and of course the international press.
What will you be doing at this year's exhibition?
Lots of exciting things as always! We are currently putting together our new collection and work on our new book and DVD has already started. I'm especially excited to be adding a whole section to our book this year dedicated to London Fashion Week and the numerous catwalk shows we do each year. Each year we aim to offer visitors something new and exciting and we work hard to make our shows not only educational but entertaining too.
Who are what inspires you most at the exhibition?
What I love about Salon International is that it's a real melting pot of ideas and inspiration coming from every direction.
What's your top tip for first time visitors?
Plan your visit and take in as many shows and seminars as you can. Once you get caught up in the atmosphere it can be really easy to miss shows, so having a real plan of action helps me to focus.
What's in your Salon International Survival Kit?
Flat shoes and lots of water!
What's your Salon International soundtrack?
Generally whatever music we are playing within our show. Last year's was 'Battle Flag' by Low Fidelity All Stars and 'Dirty Harry' by The Gorillas.
Sum up Salon International in three words.
LARGER THAN LIFE!
