I joined in 1998 and I’d previously done some work experience at the Francesco Group salon and loved it. After that, I was asked to work on Saturdays and was offered an apprenticeship. I didn’t hesitate as the company provided training to the highest standards. What does the Chester franchise mean to you? I’ve had a franchise now for 10 years. I love being a business owner, building strong teams and helping them to grow into fantastic hairdressers. What have you learned from being Chester’s franchisee? The Chester franchise has taught me so much about my desire and focus to drive my business and staff forward. After 10 years at the helm, it is time for me to look to the future. I would like to shift from salon life and use my passion to train others to the highest level. We grow our staff rather than recruit them so we want to develop individuals from apprentices into successful stylists and senior stylists. What are your plans for the near future? Our plan is to make sure our franchisees are successful. We’ve invested in a management coach to help our new franchisee become a highly effective leader and manager.
