Big hair, don't care? There was no shortage of voluminous styles on the red carpet at the Met Gala 2014, with styles ranging from slightly tousled to full-on teased. Here are some of our favourites, in size order.

We almost didn't recognise Suki Waterhouse without a fringe! Here the young model opts for tousled texture, with hair swept back in a soft updo that complements the romantic nature of her
Burberry gown. Slightly windswept volume keeps this look soft - and adds just a hint of volume.

Charlize Theron sweeps her hair to one side in a stylish 'woke-up-like-this' swoosh. Simple, classic and elegant - well, what else would you pair with
a Dior Couture gown and tux jacket? Sheer elegance at its very best.
We love Katie Holmes best when she's having a bit of fun with her style, and these beachy waves are a perfect example. The high-low contrast between
her jaw-dropping Marchesa gown and textured hairstyle keep the overall look youthful. It would have been really easy to go with a groomed updo, making these waves an unexpected, modern option.

Dianna Agron rocks a longer, and larger, take on the Charlize Theron swoosh. This big and bouncy bob is simple but effective, ensuring all eyes are on her
sparkling Miu Miu gown and statement earrings.

Kendall Jenner takes windswept volume to new heights with this tousled look. Like Katie Holmes's messy texture, this is an unexpected addition to Kendall's bespoke Topshop gown. And, like Katie, this is just the right hair choice to keep Kendall's red-carpet style fresh and fun.

Queen of big hair on the night was Kylie, who paired an impossibly
romantic Grecian-inspired Marchesa gown with seriously volumised locks. It would have been easy to opt for glossy curls for a classically elegant look with this dress, making Kylie's option of a seriously big blow-dry a much more fun, unexpected choice.
