Statement hair accessories are having a major moment, with new search trend analysis from Fresha revealing searches for “hair accessories” have risen 111% year on year to around 607,000 searches a month.
Are you offering hairstyling with claw clips, bejewelled slides or headbands or wraps in your salon? Do you sell hair accessories? It might be worth considering, especially when you look at fashion week styles from SS27...
Why are Hair Accessories Searches up?
The surge has happened just as hair styling has taken centre stage at London Fashion Week SS27, where accessories, intricate braids and decorative details have all had major moments.
Experts at leading beauty and wellness booking platform Fresha noted that at Susan Fang’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, hair was incorporated into the collection’s romantic, highly detailed aesthetic. Lead hairstylist Anna Cofone created structured, high-shine sections with braids, flyaways and softer tendrils.
The show also featured flowers, jewellery and elaborate decorative elements throughout the collection.
And consumer search behaviour suggests the appetite for statement hair looks extends well beyond the runway.
