Tim scott wright opens debut salon in stourbridge

Tim Scott Wright is set to open his first independent salon in his hometown of Stourbridge in the Midlands. The three-time winner of HJ's Midlands Hairdresser of the Year is going solo after 15 years working under the watchful eyes of two former British Hairdressers of the Year - Lisa Shepherd and Umberto Giannini. “I spent the last year just working out what it is that I wanted to get out of life and my career," said Tim. "Out of the blue I was offered the old doctor's surgery in Wollaston – just down the road from my home town. I felt it was the right time and the right place so plans started and in February we opened our doors." Tim Scott Wright @ The Hair Surgery is a modern and elegant salon space, a world away from the cold and clinical former decor. Some features remain, however, including a 'treatment' room for non-surgical facial treatments and an extensive waiting area. “The building is well known as the Surgery, hence the name of the salon," said Tim. "We will also be playing on this with key areas of the salon however, we do hope that our clients will find out receptionists slightly less intimidating and also find it a bit easier to get an appointment than it was to see a doctor!" This year will also see Tim join Henkel as ambassador for Clynol and Schwarzkopf Professional.
