Devised by Senior Stylist at Hare & Bone, Chloe Ascott, Snowlights is the latest blonde trend to hit the salon floor.

Bright, bold highlights are placed around the crown in a snowflake shape to create a strobing effect. This gives the illusion of colour being 'sprinkled around' the style, adding both volume and dimension.

We caught up with Chloe to find out her inspiration for creating the technique and her trend predictions for the coming year.

How did you come up with the 'Snowlights' concept?

I created snowlights because I wanted something new for the winter season that would really make my clients stand-out. Think bright, icy, clean highlights!

The name comes from the sectioning pattern I use as it creates a snowflake shape around the crown. It's a great winter touch-up technique and my clients love it.

What do you think are the trends for hair in 2016?

For me, 2016 is all about block colours.

I think we'll see a shift from blended tones to all-over colour blocks, mixing tones together to create depth and movement in one level.

I also think hair will be much more polished this year, stepping away from the textured look we have seen recently. Polished hair is a great look for clients, particularly when going from day to night; hair plays a key part to any outfit.
