Support hair & beauty charity during coronavirus with twopointsixchallenge campaign

The Hair & Beauty Charity is our official professional hairdressing industry charity and it needs our help during the coronavirus pandemic. The coronavirus has had a catastrophic effect on thousands of charity initiatives, events and campaigns throughout the UK. To support UK charities, including the Hair & Beauty Charity, the UK is being urged to help through the TwoPointSixChallenge campaign. Anyone can get involved by going to the justgiving.com website and selecting the Hair & Beauty Charity. The TwoPointSix challenge encourages everyone to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to the Hair & Beauty Charity's donation page. Taking up the 2.6 Challenge can be hair, barbering or beauty-related or you may even want to keep it fitness-focused with walking or running 2.6 miles or doing 26 press-ups or 26 loops around your garden. It can be a sponsored activity or simply a small donation. Hair & Beauty Charity President Samantha Grocutt said: "Like many charities in the UK, our industry charity is suffering and needs help to raise funds so we can support our current beneficiaries and help the growing number of people contacting us for financial support during the global crisis." She added: "This is a great opportunity for everyone around the country to get involved and support a charity that means something to them – I’m hoping the hair, barbering and beauty industry will take up the TwoPointSixChallenge and support us by getting involved in some fun activities to help raise money for us.” HJ held a panel with Hair & Beauty Charity trustees on Monday in support of the TwoPointSixChallenge initiative on what to do if you fail through the gaps of financial support.
