Soft curls are perfect for holiday season

With the holiday season fast approaching, natural waves are the perfect look for beach, city or surfing break. Easy to style and look after they are the perfect beach to bar look. "To be cool, soft curls work best in a relaxed, beachy style often seen on Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and the Olsen twins. The hair should be in a centre parting with not too much volume, and a slight deconstructed feel to the curls. Soft curls are reasonably easy to deal with as they are less bulky than tight curls and are less prone to frizz, but moisture needs to be continuously replaced to keep the curl tamed. Soft curls can also be easily blasted out with a hairdryer so they offer a level of versatility too.
Clients need to invest in products that put moisture back into the hair as soft curls can have the tendency to be flyaway. You are looking for products to loosely define and control the curl, not tame it so avoid oils and serums as these are too heavy."

Best styling technique:
"Soft curls need some weight in the main body of the hair, and longer layers with strong outlines work best to achieve this. The wand is a brilliant styling tool to accentuate the curls already there."
