The British Barbers Association has announced the 10 finalists of the first 'BBA Masters' competition in conjunction with the Barbers Connect barbering exhibition. The competition was open to all barbers within the UK and winners will be announced at Barbers Connect, which is taking place in Cardiff on Sunday 12th May 2013.
There were two categories within the competition; Creative Master and Classic Master. The creative master category was for barbers pushing artistic boundaries, for example creative colouring, hair tattooing and hair patterns. The classic master category was for barbers who have created a classic look with excellent technical cutting and styling. Entrants needed to submit two hair images of their look - one from the front angle, the other from the side.
"I want to say a huge congratulations to all of our finalists. With it being the first year of the competition we received so many entries which made the judging stage very difficult. I wish the finalists the best of luck and look forward to seeing everyone at Barbers Connect" said Chris Foster, style director of the British Barbers' Association.
