Schwarzkopf Professional is delighted to introduce its Young Artistic Team (YAT) for 2025 - a group of extremely talented up-and-coming hairdressers from across the UK and Ireland.
During the year-long programme, the Schwarzkopf Professional Young Artistic Team will be mentored by the UK Ambassador, Suzie McGill, where they will develop their skills, explore new creative possibilities, and gain invaluable industry experience at shoots, events and more.
The selection process took place on the 16 February at Stā Studios, where finalists, having already impressed with their online submissions, created a cut, style and finish live in front of a panel of judges, comprising of professional hairdressers and industry experts, including Hairdressers Journal Editor Charlotte Grant-West.
Each finalist had free reign to cut and style their chosen models hair using Schwarzkopf Professional products. The only stipulation was that each model must have a minimum of 5 inches cut from their hair. The finalists were then required to present their models on by one, sharing their mood board, inspirations, techniques, and vision to the panel of judges.
The judges had an incredibly tricky decision to make, but after a thorough judging process that assessed technical ability, presentation skills, and enthusiasm for a year of education and growth, the final six members of the 2025 Young Artistic Team were selected.
