Her big hair earlier this week divided opinion, so it was good to see Sarah Jessica Parker opting for a tried-and-tested winning look last night.
We often saw SJP's Sex and the City alter-ego Carrie rocking a knotted updo and this flattering wide, slightly undone bun works just as well in the real world.
The chic updo is the perfect accompaniment to Sarah Jessica's lacy floor-skimming gown and is also perfectly appropriate for the evening's entertainment - a night at the ballet.
