Rihanna rocks the natural look on the x factor

Rihanna rocked natural curls and a subdued colour for her appearance on The X Factor this weekend - the perfect girlish accompaniment to her cute McQueen dress and prim collar.

The pop princess is known for her outrageous hairstyles and fabulously fake colour, but recently revealed that she would going for a more natural look to avoid becoming 'a gimmick'.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show, Rihanna said:

"I kind of just wanted to scale right back instead of having a look. I didn't want to make it such a big deal about what hair colour or what cut [I have]. I just wanted to go right back to something simple and something flexible, something a little more natural. It's more about the music. I don't want to become a gimmick - ever. Well, I ran out of [hair] colours, so that's why I decided to go back to my natural colour."

I have enjoyed speculating over Rihanna's numerous cuts and colours this year, but she looks just as good with something more subtle and the bandana is a perfect finishing touch to prevent this look feeling too simple.
