More than 2,800 international hairdressers descended on London's Olympia for the Redken Symposium 2014, with stunning shows by Lisa Shepherd, Andrew Barton and Essensuals.
The show got off to a great start with a film of freestyle parkour jumping and tumbling from some of London's most iconic buildings. Then Essensuals opened the show, with models walking the runway straight from the catwalks of the Jean-Pierre Braganza show at the Spring/Summer London Fashion Week. Beautiful blue hued clothes were complemented by a multitude of textures and pastel shades. Former Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year Indira Schauwecker led the stunning creative presentation of models wearing pleated, weaved, folded and sculptured styles.

Before the audience could catch their breathe, Lisa Shepherd made her symposium debut with a patriotic show with Queen's Guards marching down the runway. Beautiful pastel shades mingled with tropical hues for a fun, fashionable show.
The Redken international artists were led by Adam Browne with enormous textured shapes ranging from cones to squares and almighty curls. This set the scene for the amazing finale by the Andrew Barton team.
Members of the Royal Ballet opened the presentation, wearing weaved crowns and flowing lengths, before rubber-clad models took to the stage. With simple, one-coloured manes, they stepped into a shower of colour before emerging with pink, yellow, green and purple splattered hair. DJ Jodie Harsh then burst onto the scene to really get the party started.
