Red hot looks all round at true blood premiere

As if there could be any doubt left in your mind that red is this summer's hottest hair colour choice, just take a look at the stars of True Blood at the Season 3 premiere for the cult vampire show!

Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Jessica in the series, showed off a strawberry blonde shade, which she recently admitted she dyed herself. Since the age of 14 Deborah has coloured her natural blonde hair, apparently using a $9 box dye from her local drugstore - but it looks like she's gone a bit upmarket from that now! Here she opts for a softly waved old school Hollywood style, fitting perfectly with her glam navy dress.

Carrie Preston is another natural blonde who has succumbed to scarlet. Fed up of wearing a red wig for her character Arlene, she decided to take the plunge and transform herself into a real life red head. The colour works really well with her skintone and is flattered here with a cobalt gown.

Series newcomer Brit Morgan made her red carpet debut with a glossy red chestnut shade. Brit will be playing Debbie, a character who is described in the original books as having scruffy, short black hair. A bit of creative licensing at work here, but we much prefer this shiny, sexy shade!

Finally, even Charlaine Harris (the creator of the hit series and author of the original books) opted for a reddish tint to her locks, livening up her curly crop with a pretty auburn hue!
