Fan Bing Bing brought her usual dose of fabulousness to the red carpet, with a spectacular fuchsia Marchesa gown topped off with an architectural, curving updo. Elements of historical influences combined with the stark neckline and dramatic makeup make this a winning look.

Kelly Osbourne continues to make pastels look sophisticated, modern and fun with another colourful updo. This lilac beehive is classic Kelly, but while I'm generally a fan of deliberately visible clips I'm not so convinced by this one. It could just be the picture, though - if it's metallic or jewelled up close, I'm sold.

Sally Field gave actresses twenty years younger a run for their money with this vintage-inspired textured beehive. The softly parted fringe keeps the look young and breezy - it's a style I can easily see Zooey Deschanel or Alexa Chung working.

Salma Hayek looked majestic in an elaborate gown topped off with a towering updo and crown. Some might say a huge necklace and hair accessory is too much, but Salma makes it work.
