According to research, January 6 is the most depressing day of the year.
Dubbed Blue Monday, today sees workers head back to the office as Christmas decorations are stashed away for another year and post-festive guilt sets in with diets and detoxes in abundance; it's also the most popular day of the year for divorce proceedings to get set in motion. Throw in bad weather, long commutes and debts and it's no wonder that we're all feeling glum.
But with
hairdressing still topping the charts as one of the happiest jobs in the UK, it's not all bad news - and to celebrate, we've rounded up some of the most colourful creations of the last twelve months to fire your imagination and bring some brightness into this otherwise blue Monday. Enjoy!
