Last year, the Health & Safety Executive, in partnership with Local Authorities, delivered the 'Bad Hand Day?’ campaign to prevent dermatitis among hairdressers. A combination of inspection, enforcement and marketing communications ensured that the campaign was highly successful at encouraging salons to take preventative action, such as wearing the right gloves. Now it's time for phase two of the campaign, which sees glove manufacturers Marigold and BM Polyco Ltd working closely with HBSA to offer a discount voucher scheme. The scheme will offer a discount to salons who adopt the appropriate gloves from the two participating companies and you'll be hearing plenty more about it in the coming weeks. | ![]() |
