Sorbet shades are set to be a huge colour story this summer, but if the 2013 Resort shows are anything to go by, this isn't the last we'll be seeing of pastel-hued hair.
At Oscar de la Renta, colourful clip-in streaks were matched to each model's outfit, with shades of pink, green, violet and blue woven through textured locks and secured in a loose knot at the nape of the neck.
Meanwhile at Chanel, the Marie Antoinette-themed show was given a punky twist with pastel wigs complete with razored fringes and textured lengths. A ponytail poking out at the book with a coordinating bow added an unexpected edge.
Celebrities including Nicola Roberts, Lauren Conrad and Kelly Osbourne continue to rock the pastel trend too, proving that crazy colour doesn't have to be garish with girly shades providing the perfect way to do punk pretty.
So, is the trend set to stick around? We spoke to colourists from around the country for their view.

"The great thing about the all-over colour at the Chanel show, is that unlike the bright reds, purples and blues that some celebs have been sporting lately, which really only works when mixed with dark hair (think Katy Perry) this is great look for blondes who want to stand out from the crowd."

"I love the pastel trend. It is a big look this season and has been popular on the catwalk at shows such as Louis Vuitton and Chanel. Pastels are a popular trend year on year, but for 2012 it has gone bigger than ever. It is great for those pre-lightened, creative clients who want something different but don't want the commitment of growing a more vibrant colour out. Pastel hues fade to a really beautiful and soft blonde and keep the client fashionable but flexible."

"I just love the pastel hair trend - I think it's really exciting to see something really different to your usual blondes. Tone shots look fantastic and they are so fab for creating a really personalised and individual look.
"There's even something for the less brave client as they can choose to just add in a streak of pastel or two to add interest to their style. This colour trend is funky, young and it's great to see something that we can all experiment with coming into style. I can't wait!"
