Oscars 2015 makeup and hairstyling award shortlist announced

The Oscars 2015 Makeup and Hairstyling shortlist has been announced, with seven films competing for the prestigious title.
Finalists on the list represent both fantasy and sci-fi films (Maleficent, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spiderman 2) and more dramatic work based on true stories (The Theory of Everything and Foxcatcher).
The original makeup category was extended to included hairdressing in 2013, following a hard-fought campaign by celebrity stylist Ted Gibson. The two winning films so far have been Lisa Westcott and Julie Dartnell for Les Miserables and Adruitha Lee and Robin Mathews, who created the looks for Dallas Buyers Club.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Maleficent

The Theory of Everything
The 2015 Oscars, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will take place on 22 February.
