Nicole richie navy hair: love it or leave it?

She's one of Hollywood's most experimental colour chameleons, and now Nicole Richie is rocking navy hair. We've seen her go from lilac to blue and, most recently, gun-metal grey. But what do you make of her latest style experiment? We asked Wil Fleeson, salon director of Rainbow Room International Stirling and Buchanan Street, for his verdict.

We are all either contrasters or blenders depending on our eye, natural hair and skin tone characteristics. Nicole Richie is a contraster; her natural eye tone is brighter and lighter than her natural hair tone. These characteristics suit more contrasting hair shades darker, lighter or more vibrant. Nicole has selected extreme depth in her hair colour, and an intense metallic violet base for her hair tone. This contrasts with her eye/skin tone making her skin warmer and her eyes brighter. To create this look I would use the Dark Brown Violet Mettalixx from Schwarzkopf proffessional to produce strong colour direction and ultimate shine."
