New York Fashion Week is now well underway, kicking off the month-long calendar of fashion shows and parties.
The front row is the only place to be for stylish celebrities, and has already attracted a suitably A-list smattering of stars.
Above is the uber-cool crowd at Jill Stuart - from left to right featuring indie star Becka Diamond, fashionista Sophie Curtis, actress Olivia Munn and Mena Suvari. You may not know the first few names, but on the streets of NYC they are a pretty hip gang.

Alexa Chung is always a sure bet for a fashion do, and I'm really starting to like her new brunette shade. Styled with her usual casual texture, Alexa looks as super-cool as usual.
Fellow hipster - and model - Erin Wasson has also got the grungy texture down pat, topped off with a quirky hat for a true individual look.

Brining some good old fashioned glamour to proceedings, actresses Camilla Belle and Rose McGowan both did the natural look, albeit with plenty of shine. Camilla is so ridiculously beautiful she doesn't need to do anything to her hair, and although Rose isn't quite so spectacularly stunning, she looks fab with this swept-over wavy style and poppy red lips.

Sophia Bush continues to rock balayaged ends, with a few scattered lights though the lengths. This laidback style is typical of New York's fashionistas - glossy, groomed, but not too try-hard.

At a pre-fashion week party for Gucci, Solange Knowles showed off her super long braids - I love this look, and it marks her out as drastically different from sister Beyonce, who usually goes for big blown-out bouffants and curls.
Rihanna also rocked a dramatic look, with a bright red afro style contrasting against her relatively demure white dress. I love this look on the star, who is really carving out a niche for herself as a fashion guru.

Finally, rocking two very different fringes, we have actresses Mena Suvari and Jennifer Hudson. I love a big blunt fringe, but think Mena's is a little too thin and piecey. With her fine, naturally straight hair, it just looks too limp.
Jennifer Hudson, on the other hand, looks amazing with this Bettie Paige inspired short fringe and long curls. It's a very different look for her, and with red lips and glowing skin she looks absolutely fantastic.
