Michelle griffin appointed kevin murphy color me creative director

Michelle Griffin has been appointed UK creative director of Kevin Murphy Color Me - the conditioning colour line from Kevin Murphy. Co-founder and session stylist Kevin Murphy explains: "Our aim is to offer colourists something different and exciting that their clients will love. COLOR.ME is a flexible, edited and simple-to-use conditioning colour line that balances product performance with the demands of a high-fashion brand. As a highly regarded colourist and successful salon owner who identifies strongly with the ethos of the KEVIN.MURPHY brand, Michelle was the obvious natural choice for this pioneering role." Michelle, whose salon and academy is based in Birmingham, has been using COLOR.ME since its UK launch in 2012. She says: "The results are impressive and it ticks all the boxes in terms of performance; translucency, grey coverage, texture, smell, conditioning and versatility – you can create toners, semi-permanent and permanent colour with the same 100 ml tube – and it’s so easy to apply. There's a gap in the market for a colour line that’s new, young and fresh and this is exactly what the industry needs. I'm really excited about the opportunity to develop a brand, which has fuelled creativity within my own team and share the benefits with other salons throughout the UK."
