Industry professionals from the UK and Ireland descended on the Kenzi Club Agdal Resort for the Matrix National Conference; a three-day programme of education and Inspiration.
Hugo Boisvert, general manager, greeted delegates and thanked them for helping Matrix continue its growth in the professional sector. He said: "In 2012 we went from good to great and now we need to go from great to brilliant and with our 'reach all, teach all' education programme, a new brand image, product innovation, the best artistic team and great shows, events and competitions, we are looking forward to a brilliant 2013.
"Retail and colour will be a focus for Matrix this year, and with our distributor partners, sales consultants and education team, we can all look forward to continued growth," said Hugo.

Marketing manager Liz Griffiths reiterated that the philosophies and values that have made Matrix the number one American brand in more than 300,000 salons worldwide would stay the same. However, she said the new image and product innovations in the coming months would allow the brand to maximise not only on in-salon treatments and services, but on increasing retail sales.
Commercial manager, James Francis, continued: "The UK is behind North America and Europe when it comes to retail sales in salons and the fact is that everybody wants to do it, and needs to do it. So we have linked up with industry experts Julie Eldrett and Christian Hefti to develop a powerful programme that will allow salons to embrace the opportunity that retail presents.
"As clients expect and demand more, salon owners need the tools to facilitate success for not only their business, but the stylists working within it, increasing both team and client loyalty.
The conference continued with a presentation from Matrix global ambassadors Gary Hooker and Michael Young showcasing the results of the ammonia-free Color Insider, system as well as fun team-building activities.
The second day off to a lively start with a Matrix-themed quiz followed by presentations covering merchandising, consultation and retail. The evening featured a gala dinner and awards celebration at Pacha nightclub with big winners including Comeback of the Year from Essentials and Team of the Year for Barkers.
