London fashion week spring/summer 2013: ones to watch

Silje Vincent created plaited buns for the Ones to Watch Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

Inspiration: The Ones to Watch show features four new designers, so the look has to be one that works for everyone without distracting fron any collection.

The look: A textured knotted ballerina bun.

Get the look: Dry hair was prepped with label.m Volume Mousse and worked through to add texture and guts. 

Hair was then blow-dried to seal in the product and add extra volume and texture.

Once dried in, hair was sectioned horizontally with label.m Resurrection Style Dust sprinkled over each section to add further texture and grip.

Hair was then raked back into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck with volume left on the crown and around the hairline.

The ponytail was split in two, with each section covered in hairspray and brushed through. Sections were then knotted together and pinned in place, before knotting again and again until the ends of the hair were reached.

The hairline was then saturated with shine spray and blow-dried back from the hairline, with more shine spray misted on at the back on the bun.
