London fashion week spring/summer 2013: fam irvoll

Efi Davies created granny chic updos for the Fam Irvoll Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

Inspiration: Granny chic - girls that grab pieces from their grandma's wardrobe and totally pull it off.

The look: Volumised updos - including some with blue, pink and purple rinses.

Get the look: Hair was prepped with label.m Volume Mousse and roughly blow-dried to add texture and volume.

Once dry, hair was divided in to two sections, with the lower section secured in a ponytail, backbrushed and then wrapped around padding to create a voluminous base, finished with label.m Hairspray.

The top section was then set on hot rollers in a classic set, directioned away from the face. Once set, hair was brushed out with fabric wrapped around to create a 'dent' in the shape.

Three 'granny' models started the show - their look involved hair being prepped with a purple, pink or blue rinse. Hair was then set on perm rods and slept on overnight, before being brushed out the next day and fluffed up with dry shampoo for a colourful, voluminous shape.
