Federico Ghezzi created plaited updos for the Maria Grachvogel Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.
Show: Maria Grachvogel
Stylist: Federico Ghezzi for L'Oréal Professionnel
Inspiration: Futuristic simplicity; defined sharp edges combined with soft, feminine elements.
The look: Two textured, wispy French braids forming into one long plait down the back.
Get the look: Hair wasn't prepped with any specific product, but sectioned into two parts with a straight, defined middle parting.
Hair was then French braided along the crown in tow plaits to the nape, where they were joined together.
Instead of being secured with a tie, hair was just clamped with straighteners and sealed with Infinium Hairspray.
To add an innocent, feminine edge, hair was then loosened down the centre and set with Playball Beach Fizz to make it look slightly static and wispy as the girls walk.
Finally, Tecni Art Glue was used around the hairline and rubbed into the scalp to create contrast against the girly elements.
Key products: L'Oréal Professionnel Infinium Hairspray, Playball Beach Fizz, Tecni Art Glue, Crystal Gloss
