Paul Hanlon created a grungy texture for the Giles Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

Show: Giles

Stylist: Paul Hanlon with Indira Schauwecker and the TONI&GUY Session Team

The inspiration: 90s grunge - loved-in hair with a DIY feel. Quite an anti-fashion look, as with the previous two seasons.

The look: Dirty, lived-in curls. The style wasn't uniform, so each girl had a slightly different take to add character.

Get the look: Hair was styled in a side-parting with label.m Volume Mousse added at the roots. Hair was then dried off by hand to add texture.

Models with very straight hair had further texture added by curling with a tong although it was quite loose, random movement with different-sized sections curled.

label.m Blow-Out Spray was then pulled through the mid-lengths and ends to create a strong foundation and add that second-day feel. Hair was twisted into little buns to encourage texture and diffuse-dried.

Hair then received a light misting of Salt Spray which was power-dried in and scrunched through for texture.

Finally, Smoothing Cream was pulled through the hair to add a separated, slightly greasy feel to add to the grunge look. This was dried in and diffused to create texture.

Key products: label.m Smoothing Cream, Salt Spray, Volume Mousse, Blow-Out Spray
