Nick Irwin created textured bobs for the Mark Fast Spring/Summer 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

Show: Mark Fast

Stylist: Nick Irwin for TIGI

The inspiration: Salt 'n' Pepa, hip hop

The look: Super-textured bob wigs; "the Parisian party girls hip-hop afro bob"

Get the look: Nick bought the wigs at a party shop - "we tried expensive wigs, but it just didn't work as well."

The models' natural hair was plaited tightly and coiled under a wig wrap, before the wigs were added on top.

Wigs were styled with Session Series Dry Shampoo to create a dry, dense texture with hair then backcombed all over to create a fuzzy 'ball' of hair.

They were then shaped with men's clippers to create a freehand shape - slightly bell or lampshape-inspired; a graphic shape with a strong perimeter.

Nick was keen to stress that it wasn't a squared-off, Grace Jones look - more a rounded feel.

Once cut into shape, hair was moulded with TIGI Your Highness Hairspray to create more texture and a strong shape.

Key products: TIGI Session Series Dry Shampoo and Your Highness Hairspray
