Mark Hampton created girl gang texture for the Todd Lynn Autumn/Winter 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

Show: Todd Lynn

Stylist: Mark Hampton and the TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe team

The inspiration: Girl gangs - particularly an early 20th century criminal group called The Gopher Gang. This ruthless group spent their days stealing uniforms from police officers with female members tailoring them to fit.

Mark said he wanted a youthful, edgy look for the hair; tough but classic. Each model had a slightly different look, but with the same uniform texture.

The look: Roughed-up waves.

Get the look: Hair was prepped with mousse, which was applied to dry hair and combed through.

Wave or curl cream was then added, drying in with a diffuser and teasing by hand. Once dry, waves were brushed out slightly to loosen.

Longer hair was pulled into a low ponytail, with the ends looped under and secured with an elastic.
