London fashion week autumn/winter 2013: giles Giles Autumn/Winter 2013-14 hairPaul Hanlon created Wednesday Addams waves for the Giles Autumn/Winter 2013 show at London Fashion Week.

Show: Giles

Stylist: Paul Hanlon supported by Indira Schauwecker and the TONI&GUY Team

The inspiration: Gothic teenage girls, Wednesday Addams, women in a cult who have never cut their hair and model Kristen McMenamy.

The look: Extremely long, wispy waves.

Get the look: Extensions were added to every model to create extremely long hair - more or less uniform on each girl to add to the cult-like feel.

Only two or three wefts were used on each to keep hair slightly straggly and wispy at the ends.

Hair was then styled in a rough centre parting and prepped with label.m Relaxing Balm and Leave-in Conditioner. Lengths were plaited, starting quite loose at the top and working to a very tight braid through the ends.

Hair was then dried with a diffuser and once totally dry, the plaits were smoothed over with straighteners to set the wave in place. Braids were then undone to create loose, slightly lank waves that hung right down the back.

Key product: label.m Relaxing Balm and Leave-in Conditioner

The gossip: Model Kristen McMenamy didn't just serve as inspiration for the show with her super-long, wavy locks - she also modelled for the show.
