Show: Maria Grachvogel
Stylist: Mark Hampton for Bumble and bumble
Inspiration: Art deco
The look: Stylist Mark Hampton took inspiration from the 1920s for Maria Grachvogel's Autumn/Winter 2012 show.
Although Mark believes that this is only the beginning of the twenties trend and that there is more to come, he didn't want this to be a literal translation and focused instead more on creating a square, minimal shape with the hair.Mark wanted hair to look minimal, masculine and sophisticated.
Long hair was rolled under and pinned at the nape to create a structured, modern bob shape. The silhouette of the hair was androgynous and corresponded to the collection's dropped waistlines.

Get the look: Hair was prepped with Bb Thickening Spray and Prep Spray and combed through to the lengths.
A section was taken from ear to ear and tightly plaited close to the head, then coiled around and pinned in place at the nape to reduce bulk from the style.
The remaining hair was saturated with more thickening spray, styled in a side-parting and blow-dried, using a bristle brush to pull smooth. Once dry, hair was secured in a ponytail with the elastic at the very end of the tail.
Gripping the elastic, hair was then rolled under and pinned in place at the nape to create a faux bob. Before models stepped out, a few strands were loosened on either side for a 'purposeful imperfection'.
Key products: Bb Thickening Spray, Classic Hairspray, Bb Shine On (and On) Finishing Spray, Sumo Wax and Bb Does it All
The gossip: Late-running models from an earlier show turned up with a head of gelled-down plaits - not an ideal base for creating a smooth, sleek, bob!
