Show: Basso & Brooke
Stylist: Kenna for ghd
Inspiration: A more refined Basso & Brooke customer - the kind of woman who goes for a regular blow-dry. Kenna was also inspired by Japanese hair.
The look: A low, simple knot at the nape of the neck - but the basis for this deceptively style was what Kenna called, the Ultimate Blow-Dry.
As Basso & Brooke have changed with the seasons, so have their clients - she's more grown up now and more refined.
There's still a softness to the style - Kenna used natural partings and allowed flyaways to fall out, explaining: "intentional clumsiness is where the sexiness comes from in a style like this."
Get the look: Hair was prepped with ghd Straight and Tame and massaged through.
Hair was then blow-dried with the ghd air in small sections using a bristle brush, spending up to 40 minutes on the blow-dry to ensure it was immaculate.
After each section was dried, it was shaken out to loosen the curl. Hair was then raked back into a natural parting and pulled into a low ponytail at the nape.
The pony was secured with a length of elastic, with the ends left long and loose. Hair was then knotted and the lengths of elastic were threaded back through the hair with a needle to secure in place without pins.
Key products: ghd Root Lift Spray, Straight and Tame, ghd radial brush and max styler.
The gossip: The backstage area at Goldsmith's Hall is possibly the most opulent in London - gilt walls, chandeliers and brass treasures in glass display cabinets to contend with.
