L'oreal talentspotting grand finalists announced

The Grand Finalists of Talentspotting 2007 have spent the weekend in Rome at the L’Oréal Professionnel Exposure Tour, as part of their prize for winning their semi-final events. The six finalists (pictured below), fought off stiff competition in the vibrant, regional semi-finals and will now go head-to-head in the Grand Final on November 12.

As part of the prize for winning their semi-final, the finalists have had a performance skills session with Trevor Sorbie at his Covent Garden salon, the trip to Rome to watch Andrew Barton and the Saks Art team and one-to-one mentoring by Adam Reed from Charles Worthington.They will now be judged by a panel including Guy Kremer, Sean Dawson, Darren Fowler (Clipso), Errol Douglas, Sally Brooks (Brooks and Brooks) and Trevor Sorbie who are searching for a fresh new talent with innovative ideas and who has the flair to be a hairdressing star of the future.The overall winner will then be crowned Talentspotting winner 2007 and win an array of opportunities, including a place on the 2008 L’Oréal Professionnel iD Artist Programme, £1000 worth of education courses at the L’Oréal International Academy and individual membership to the Fellowship for British Hairdressing. Last year’s winner, Katie Mulcahy explains that winning Talentspotting is a career-defining moment. “Winning Talentspotting has given me so many amazing opportunities that I could only have dreamed of," she says. "It really is a fabulous competition that all young budding stage artists should enter.
