Ken Picton will be holding a Marie Curie tea party at his Cardiff Bay salon to raise money for the cancer charity.

Held on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 July, Ken's fundraising event was inspired by the mother of one of his team members.

Ken said: "The mother of one of my team members came up with the idea because we serve the most beautiful complimentary refreshments in china cups with fabric napkins - she thought it would be great to do a cupcake event and is renowned in the area for making the most amazing cakes ever!"

"We'll be serving cupcakes and scones to raise money for Marie Curie over the two days and clients can make a donation to enjoy them during their service alongside their complimentary teas and lattes. Some of the clients have already asked if they can contribute some baked offerings so it should be quite a spread on offer."
