Goldwell announces uk color zoom winners at summer party

Goldwell announced the UK winners of Color Zoom 2012 at Aqua Nueva in London with a glittering rooftop party.

Guests were greeted at the terrace bar by a Cuban jazz band, with summer cocktails and canapés provided as they took in the 360° alfresco views of London from the spectacular location.

Taking a slightly different angle for 2012, this year's event saw all 15 finalists recreate their photographic entry and present a model live on stage, talking about the inspiration behind their look and the impact that being shortlisted had so far had on their business.

Head of technical and creative direction for Goldwell, William Wilson, introduced each of the entrants, who had all created their own interpretation of the FasciNature collection - a trend inspired by nature at its most expressive and surreal.

After a presentation by each of the finalists, William interviewed Global Creative Colorist winner, Neil Barton. Neil joined the International Color Zoom Creative Team 2011 as part of his win and helped to create the FasciNature collection and shared his experiences with the audience.

UK president for Goldwell, Nick Wood, then announced the eagerly-anticipated winners for Color Zoom UK 2012, who will go on to join Goldwell in London this October to compete in the international finals of the Color Zoom Global Challenge.

And the winners are;

Osman Yakubogullari, SO Hairdressing, Maidstone, Kent

To help prepare the finalists for the next step in their journey, Global Partner Colorist 2011, Lisa Whiteman, will be passing on her advice and mentoring the trio in a bid to help the UK scoop the crown at the international final in October.
