Keira knightley goes for the chop

Keira Knightley revealed her latest style transformation at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week. This chic bob is both flattering and cool, and as Dannii Minogue proved during last year's X Factor, remarkably versatile.

Although Keira has often worn her hair short in the past, I think this bob feels really fresh for right now. We've all had enough of long, tacky, fake-looking extensions; seeing a celebrity go short is a real daring move, especially for a Hollywood actress like Keira. 

The loose, unstyled finish adds to the look. "I've always thought Keira is extremely beautiful but this haircut makes her stunning," says award-winning hairdresser Michael Barnes. " I think it frames her face perfectly, and the darker colour gives her a much more sultry, sexier look than the blonde she often wears."

Keira's always been quite adventurous with her hair, experimenting with length, colour and texture. The blunt, bold fringe isn't for everyone, but with her petite frame and features, it's a look she carries off well. This gamine crop works well too, although the colour and finish feel a little dated now, looking back.
