Karen gillan shaves her head for guardians of the galaxy role

  Dr Who's former flame-haired companion, Karen Gillan, unveiled a shaved head at Comic-Con in San Diego this weekend. The actress tricked guests at the film festival with a red wig - similar to her own natural style - before whipping it off on stage to reveal her new look. Karen told the audience that it was, "liberating"to buzz off her locks, adding that, "everyone here should shave their heads." I think respect is always due to any actor who transforms their looks so dramatically for a role, but I do miss Karen's beautiful red locks. Hopefully she has a wardrobe full of those impressively realistic wigs just in case she doesn't fancy a skinhead for every red-carpet appearance. @HJi_Rachael
