International women’s day 2022: #breakthebias with toni&guy
International Women’s Day celebrates a movement that looks to a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination, one that is diverse, equitable and inclusive. Individually we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions, but together we can break the bias in our communities, workplaces, schools, colleges and universities. To celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, TONI&GUY has launched a company-wide global video showing the women of TONI&GUY as a collective with their arms crossed joining the movement. This powerful and motivating footage shows the many faces that are the heart and soul of their company, including an influential closing message from Sacha. The brand also interviewed five inspiring and leading ladies in the UK that work inside and outside the brand. They inspire TONI&GUY and each other every day and continuously break the bias in their own lives and industries including LGBTQ, Beauty, Business, Digital and Fashion. TONI&GUY international artistic director Efi Davies, international technical education director Siobhan Haug, blogger Elise Gill, model Elise Gillespie, make- up artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis were all asked questions such as, ‘what does it mean to you to break the bias?’ and ‘who are your biggest female inspirations?’ [caption id="attachment_86231" align="aligncenter" width="169"]IWD Lan Nguyen-Grealis[/caption]
With the main message of ‘Beautifully (I’M)Perfect’, the campaign looks to redefine beauty and tell society if its expectations and standards of beauty don’t fit you, then create your own and #BreakTheBias.

All proceeds from social media monetisation will be donated to Smart Work Charity. A UK organisation that exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives. The charity helps women enter the workforce with clothes, CV workshops, interview prep and mentoring.
